The 4th of July || Beach Day
Happy 4th of July! I hope all of you have a wonderful day full of good food, time with friends and family and fireworks. I'm planning on spending the day at home this year, but if I could be anywhere to celebrate, I would choose the beach. Give me a nice big beach umbrella and a good book and I would be set for the day. I've also chosen some other goodies to accompany my day at the beach. I hope you have a fabulous 4th!

Whale Watching. It's Summer, it's hot and the beach is calling your name. At least it's calling my name. Like the fox, hedgehog's and owls from seasons past the whale is popping up everywhere. It's cute and perfect for Summer. Who needs a whale lamp? You do!

Summer Stylist Series #3 || Cinne Worthington
Our third Summer Stylist Series with Cinne of Etsy shop by Cinne Worthington takes us to the beach! If you missed Cinne's other 2 outfits, you don't want to miss out on her eclectic eye for style - press here to have a peek! We went to Paris and then took a dive into the world of florals. Today, Cinne is getting us ready to not only enjoy some summer sunshine, but do it in utter style!
Cinne has got the whole beach attire laid out for us and centers her selections on the adorable vintage style floral high waisted swimsuit bikini by Jayne of Etsy shop BOODWAH. Don't be too bummed out when you press the link because Jayne is currently trying to hunt down some more fabric so she can make more of these super trendy bikinis! Cinne has such an intuitive understanding of color and I love her ability to combine not only colors, but different patterns with such grace. The emerald and gold tote by Faima has a rich texture and bold patterning, but it totally works. And check out the rich color of the handcrafted high heel shoes by Bali ELF in Indonesia - I don't even wear heals, but I just want to put those beauties on and never take them off! Each item has been carefully considered and selected to create a walking work of art. If you wore this whole ensemble at the beach, you would be sure to get some heads turning and lips whistling!
Spend some time out in the sun, but please - do it in STYLE! All of the items are available through Etsy and all you have to do is follow the links below to get this look. Thank you Cinne for another imaginative and inspiring outfit!

Nautical Decor with Pillows!
With full blown summer just on the horizon, let's take a look at how you can invite in the sunny vibes of a day at the beach into your home decor! I've chosen to highlight some pillows as I think they're always a great choice for adding seasonal flair to your interior decor. Switching out your pillows to match the seasons is such a fun way to keep your home environment in sync with the changing moods of nature. Summer and beach go hand in hand - so my 5 selections today focus on a nautical theme. Each one can stand alone, but try mixing and matching for a really dynamic look!
Let me know - which one is your fav?

Now that Summer is just around the corner, I've got my mind on a nice beach getaway. The cool ocean breezes, the sound of the waves, the sand between your toes, etc. How can you resist? That's why my color palette is all about Ocean Water. Not only are these items gorgeous shades of blue they are also perfect for getting into beach mode.
Where is your favorite beach escape? Mine is the panhandle of Florida in the Gulf of Mexico.

Beach Tone Decor!

1. Beach Greeting Cards by Semi Sweet Studios 2. Modern Sea Glass Painting by Louise Art Studio 3. Tiny Rustic Ceramic Beach Cottage by Orly Design 4. 4 x 6 Picture Frame by Mmim |
There's something so soothing and calming about beach tones that I want to design a meditation room around this color palette! Summer is around the corner and I don't think it's too early to start thinking about flip flops and bikinis. Who doesn't want to spend some lazy summer days on the beach? Well, even if you can't make it to the beach this year, you can invite the essence of the salty air into your home with these beach inspired home decor items. I chose the beach cards by Kim of Semi Sweet Studios because they would make really cute little framed cards that could be displayed on the wall. If you're looking for some original art for your walls, check out the gorgeous sea glass modern watercolor painting by Louise of Louise Art Studio. For those of you who have loads of cool beach photos you'd like to display around, Brooke of Mmim has the perfect frame for you! And I can't resist this little ceramic beach cottage by Orly of Orly Design - it feels like beach livin' that will fit in your pocket!
It's not quite beach weather here in Maine, but in my heart - I'm already there!
